Hello All

Here are the instructions to join the PFS-CSB Online Chat Room! Remember, if it does not work the first time, just start over- often the second time I do something it works. Also, don't be intimidated if you've never chatted before- it's easy to catch on quickly. And if it doesn't work for you, that's ok too, because we'll work out any "bugs."

Click here to print these instructions so you can refer to them when you go to the Chat Room

    1. At the PFA-CSB Live Online Chat page, scroll down that page until you see "Enter Your Name" and in the name box the word "pfacsb" appears. Click in the "Enter Your Name" box and DELETE the "pfacsb" and then type in YOUR name (e.g., Josie). Then click "JOIN" to the right of your name to join us in the chat room.

    2. Now a new "chat room" box will appear that says "Welcome  [your name, e.g., Josie] has joined the Chat room" and you will be logged into the chat room with the rest of us (ignore the "please wait" language if you see it).

    3. At the bottom of the chat room box, a smaller box will say <Enter Text Here>. Click in that box and type your first message to the group (for example, you might type "Hi all. I'm here. What's going on so far?" so something like that to let us know you're with us. Then click  "SEND" to the right side of your message to send your message to our chat room.

    4. A fter that, you can join in the conversation as many times as you want by repeating step 6 over and over as long as you like- just click in the <Enter Text Here> box and type your new message and press SEND again.

    5. When we're all finished, or if you have to leave the conversation early, just tell us so (" for example "I gotta go now"- by entering your message and pressing SEND), and then press DISCONNECT on the right side near the SEND button. Then you'll be disconnected and logged off the chat room.

    6. If you need to change the appearance of the room, click on SHOW ADVANCED button. Select different font styles and sizes from the menu.
OK- it sounds like a lot, but you'll catch on real quick and after using it once or twice you're probably remember the routine pretty easily.   In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email me.   Dianne
