Sign Up for Camps in 2001*
Families should be aware that registration for summer camp frequently
occurs as early as January or February prior to the summer session.
Now is the time to inquire about camps, how they might be funded
(scholarships, Regional Center authorization, etc.), and their registration
process. Matrix provides the following partial listing of camps.
We do not endorse any of the camps or their organizations. We recommend
that you contact camps that are of interest to you and look into
the suitability of their program for your child. Also, inquire about
funding and possible financial assistance. The Spring 2000 edition
of the Networker has an article on camps discussing the value of
this experience for children. Finally, if you know of other camps
for children with special needs, please let us know!
