Victory Tischler-Blue's "Twisted Highway"
is uncommonly literate, expressively revealing, and darkly
humorous. That means all the sex, drugs, and rock & roll
you want -- courtesy of her tenure in the seminal 1970's all
girl band, The Runaways, that also featured Joan Jett and
Lita Ford.
Twenty five years after the demise of The
Runaways, Tischler-Blue is ready to tell her stories and recounts
this life with blunt, beautiful words and photographs, while
using The Runaways as a backdrop in a charmingly eccentric
way.
Graphically rich pages, layered with photographic
Ghost-like imagery, creates an overall haunting effect that
continues through to the very last page of Twisted Highway.
