Celebrating High Holy Days with Chochmat HaLev
Each day we walk in the path of God’s love—at times aware, at times oblivious—the mind wanders. On the High Holy Days, as the leaves start to turn, we come home. To our spirit, to our loved ones, and to our community. We celebrate, meditate, pray, sing, weep, laugh and honor the Holy that is Life
.
At home, we reconcile our heart and mind with the soul, and focus our awareness on the source of all light. We reflect on who we are and on our deeds, how we can heal ourselves and our troubled world. Especially now, as tempers, words, and bombs flare, we gather together individually, in the divine depth of each soul, and collectively, as one compassionate humanity, to extend our love to others. We remember that each of us is truly a source of healing, love and compassion, and that together, we shine light upon the world.
These High Holy Days, everyone is welcome home. Be moved, strengthened, and uplifted. The Chochmat services are a moving experience, led by Rabbi Avram Davis and Cantor/Rabbi Sara Shendelman, enlivened by the soulful Chochmat band and made rich with the strong, collective voice of the Chochmat community.
